Health Canada recalls indoor lighting fixtures because of fire hazard
- August 22, 2008 2:18 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
The recall, which involves 141 units sold in Canada, involves a fixture that is a ceiling-mounted downlight. The model number LV3R is included in this recall and is printed on a UL label inside the housing of the light.
No injuries have been reported.
Health Canada is advising consumers to stop using the lighting fixtures immediately. Consumers may contact the company, Lithonia Lighting, of Conyers, Georgia to arrange for a free replacement fixture.
The lighting fixtures, made in the U.S., were sold from April 2007 through May 2008.
