Health Canada has issued a recall for a toy pony made by Canasia Toys & Gifts Inc. because the eyes can fall off and pose a choking hazard to children.
Testing of the toy, which is about 13 centimetres long, nine cm wide and 16 cm tall, revealed that the eyes can fall off and be a choking hazard, the agency said.
The recall applies to Playful Pony with item No. 14370 and UPC: 062823143708.
About 23,529 of these toys were sold in Canada from March 2004 to July 2008 at discount and dollar stores.
Consumers should immediately take the toy away from children and dispose of it, Health Canada advised.
