Shoelace and necklace charms recalled for high lead levels
- July 11, 2008 9:31 AM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
About 18,500 children's charm craft kits are being recalled because they contain high levels of lead, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
No adverse reactions have been reported.
The recall involves the Super Dooper Charm and the Shoelace Charm kits sold in U.S. and Canadian stores from July 2007 through April 2008.
The kits were made in China.
Consumers should take the products away from children and contact the importer, Action Products International, for a refund.
