Arizona-based Redcat Racing Co. is recalling about 1,400 remote controlled toys from the marketplace, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday.
The remote controls for the toys may malfunction, causing the operator to lose control, the CPSC said. The company has learned of 15 remote control malfunctions. No injuries have been reported.
The recall includes the Hurricane XP (1/8 Road Buggy), Hurricane XP Pro (1/8 Road Buggy), Avalanche XP (1/8 Off Road Truck), Monsoon XP (1/8 Off Road Truggy) and Tsunami Ultrawide (1/10 Truggy).
The toys were sold in the U.S. from March 2007 through April 2008 for between $260 and $400.
The products were made in China.
Consumers should stop using the product and contact the company for a new remote control.
