Health Canada warns against use of Arthrit Indica Tablets

Health Canada on Monday warned consumers against using Arthrit Indica Tablets, a product marketed as treatment for joint pain.
The federal agency warns 3rd Generation In Homeopathy Arthrit Indica Tablets contains Nimesulide, a pharmaceutical ingredient that has been associated with liver damage.
The product, which was manufactured by Singapore-based Abu Bakar & Osman Trading, has not been authorized for sale in Canada but may have been purchased by travellers or through online retailers.
No associated adverse reactions have been reported in Canada.
Consumers with health concerns should contact a health-care professional or Health Canada at 1-866-225-0709.
