Earthentree is voluntarily recalling several wooden toys because they pose a choking or strangulation hazard to young children, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday.
The recall covers several wooden toys, including maracas, pull toys, rattles and trains, the commission said.
They contain small parts that can break into smaller parts and pose a choking hazard, the commission said. The rattler toy violates the federal rattle standard and some of the other toys have a string longer than 30 centimetres, which can be a strangulation hazard to young children, the commission said.
So far there have been no reports of injuries or incidents.
The commission advises owners to take the recalled toys away from children and contact Earthentree of Kirkland, Wash., for a refund or exchange.
There were 375 units sold at Earthentree's website, fairs and retail stores from December 2007 to May 2008.
