Cost Plus pulls Santorini chairs for collapsing hazard
- July 28, 2008 8:59 AM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
California-based Cost Plus Inc., is recalling about 8,600 Santorini chairs because the seat weld may fail, causing the chair to collapse, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The recall affects chairs sold in U.S. stores from January 2008 through April for about $50 US.
The company has learned of four related incidents. No injuries were reported.
The chairs were made in Taiwan.
Consumers should stop using the chairs with side weld joints and return them to the retailer for a refund.
