Calabash chalk recalled in Canada

Health Canada is warning consumers Calabash chalk, used as a cosmetic skin care product, is being recalled because it contains unsafe levels of lead.

The federal agency issued an advisory Monday warning consumers that use of the product can lead to serious health problems.

No associated problems have been reported to Health Canada.

The chalk, which was sold in a clear bag, was imported by Group Maluma and distributed by Les Aliments KABEYA International, both of Montreal.

Consumers should stop using the product and contact their health practitioner with any health concerns.
