Black Cat Fireworks recalled for injury danger
- July 8, 2008 9:20 AM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
About 20,000 Screech and Scream Fountain Fireworks are being recalled in the U.S. because they pose an injury hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The CPSC warns the fireworks, which were distributed by Kansas-based Black Cat Fireworks, may unexpectedly scatter debris.
No associated injuries have been reported.
The fireworks were made in China and sold in the U.S. from October 2006 through June 2008 for about $7 US each.
Consumers should stop using the products and return them to the store for a refund.
