Bead Bazaar USA recalls children's jewelry for lead danger
- July 8, 2008 9:23 AM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
Maryland-based Bead Bazaar USA is recalling about 13,000 pieces of jewelry because they contain high levels of lead, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The recall involves It's a Girl Thing necklaces, bracelets and phone charms sold in stores across the U.S. from February 2006 through June 2008 for about $6 US each.
The bracelets were made in China.
Caregivers should take the jewelry away from children and return it to the retailer for a refund.
