Nevada-based It's My Binky is recalling about 115,000 pacifiers, because they pose a choking hazard to infants, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday.
The CPSC warns the pacifier button, ring handle, and shield with nipple can separate, creating a choking danger.
The company has learned of two incidents in which the pacifier parts detached. No injuries were reported.
The recall affects pacifiers marked with Japlo on the pacifier shield sold in U.S. stores and online at www.itsmybinky.com from February 2006 through June 2008 for between $5 and $6 US.
The pacifiers were made in Malaysia.
Caregivers should take the pacifiers away from children and return them to the store for a replacement.
