QVC withdraws tomato planters for safety hazard
- June 4, 2008 2:17 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
QVC is recalling about 82,000 Topsy-Turvy Deluxe Tomato Planters because the legs on the product may detach, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday.
The company has learned of 347 planters collapsing, including 155 injuries.
The recall affects planters with the item numbers M16702 and M17499 sold through QVC from March 2008 through April 2008 for about $30 US.
The stands were made in China.
Consumers should return the tomato stand to QVC for a refund.
