Pacific Cycle recalls 15,000 merry-go-rounds

- By Peter Hadzipetros
About 15,000 merry-go-rounds sold in Toys "R" Us stores in the U.S. are being recalled, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The recall affects the Playsafe Spinning Quad Merry-Go-Rounds manufactured by Pacific Cycle Inc. The CPSC said the seats may suddenly drop, creating a fail hazard to children.
The company has learned of one associated injury.
The products were sold in Toys "R" Us stores from January through March this year for between $80 and $100 US each.
The merry-go-rounds were made in China.
Caregivers should take the merry-go-rounds away from children and contact Toys "R" Us for a refund or Pacific Cycle for a repair kit.
