- By Peter Hadzipetros
Cleveland-based MTD Products Inc. is recalling about 700 utility vehicles because excessive heat may cause the wiring harness to melt, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday.
The company has learned of five associated incidents involving heat damage to the vehicles.
The recall affects the Cub Cadet 4x4 EFI Volunteer Utility Vehicle sold in the United States from March until April. The price for the vehicles ranged from $9,700 US to $10,500 US.
The vehicles were made in the U.S.
Consumers should stop using the vehicles and contact their retailer for repairs.
