About 9,700 Bosch Hammer Drills are being recalled because they may continue to operate even after the trigger has been released, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The recall affects drills with serial numbers that begin with the number 7 and the product nameplate 1191VSR.
The drills, which were manufactured in Malaysia, were sold in U.S. and Canadian stores from July 2007 through April this year for about $100 US each.
Consumers should stop using the drills and contact the company for a free repair.
