Sure Grip paint brushes pulled for high lead levels

New Jersey-based Early Childhood Resources LLC is recalling about 900 Sure Grip paint brushes because surface paint on the products contains high levels of lead, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The recall affects yellow paint brushes sold in multicolour packages of four. The brushes were sold through Early Childhood Resource distributors from May 2007 through December 2007 for about $4 US.
No adverse health effects have been reported.
The brushes were manufactured in China.
Consumers should stop using the brushes and return them to the retailer for a replacement.
