American Honda Motor Co. pulls ATVs for repair
- May 8, 2008 3:23 PM
- By Tara Kimura
American Honda Motor Co. is recalling about 1,400 ATVs because of a problem with the electric power-steering shaft, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The recall affects model year 2008 Honda TRX600 ATVs sold in the U.S. from October 2007 through March 2008 for between $6,850 and $7,400 US.
The company warns the electric power-steering shaft could break, causing the driver to lose steering control. No associated incidents or injuries have been reported.
The ATVs were manufactured in the U.S.
Consumers should stop using the ATVs and contact their dealer for a repair.
