1,900 pressure washers recalled for fire hazard
- May 8, 2008 3:26 PM
- By Tara Kimura
About 1,900 Master Craft pressure washers are being recalled because the motors in the units may overheat, creating a fire danger, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The company has received reports of four related incidents of smoke coming from the units. No injuries have been reported.
The recall affects pressure washers with the model number ABW-3100G sold in Fingerhut catalogues and stores in the U.S. from July 2007 through March 2008 for about $100 US.
The pressure washers were manufactured in China.
Consumers should stop using the pressure washers and contact the company for a refund or replacement.
