Table saws pose cut hazard
- April 29, 2008 2:29 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled about 13,000 DEWALT DW744 Jobsite table saws because a bracket can separate, causing the blade to go out of alignment and kick back.
The company is aware of one reported incident, but no injuries.
This recall involves the 10-inch, yellow and black saw with date codes 200715 through 200740. Saws with an “X” stamped on the name plate by the date code are not included in this recall.
The saws were sold across the U.S. from April 2007 through January 2008 for about $500 each.
For more information, consumers can call the company toll free at (888) 742-9178 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
