Push toys have lead in paint

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled about 9,000 Western Rider Push Toys because paint on the parts of toys contain excessive levels of lead.

The toy, imported from China by Santa’s Toy Corp. of Los Angeles, is a plastic horse with rider and a 50-cm pole the child can use to push it around.

No injuries have been reported.

The toys were sold in dollar and discount stores between February 2005 and February 2008 for $2.50 and $3 US each.
