LawnBott mowers recalled for laceration danger

About 530 LawnBott mowers are being recalled because the cutting blades pose a laceration danger to users, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Friday.

The cutting blades on the mower rotate when the mower is lifted from the ground, the CPSC said. The company has received one report of a consumer suffering minor lacerations.

The recall affects LawnBott lawn mowers with the following model numbers: LB2000, LB2100, LB3000, and LB3200 sold through Kyodo America dealers in the U.S. from January 2006 through December 2007 for between $1,750 and $2,750 US.

The mowers were manufactured in Italy.

Consumers should stop using the mowers and contact the company for a repair.
