- By Peter Hadzipetros
Virginia-based Dollar Tree is withdrawing Cuddly Cousins Plush Insect Toys because they contain small parts on which young children could choke, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Monday.
The recall affects about 300,000 toys sold for about $1 US in U.S. dollar stores from March 2007 through December 2007. The product number for the affected toys is 903995, the UPC code is 6 39277 03995 8, and the date code is 71. The toys were made in China.
No associated incidents or injuries have been reported.
Consumers should take the toys away from children and return it to the retailer for a refund.
