870,000 Magnetic dart boards withdrawn for safety hazards

- By Peter Hadzipetros
New Jersey-based Henry Gordy International is recalling about 870,000 Fun 'N Games magnetic dart boards because magnets on the ends of the darts may detach, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday.
The CPSC warned that if more than one magnet is swallowed, they may attract to each other and perforate or block the intestines. No associated incidents or injuries have been reported.
The recall affects dartboards sold in Family Dollar stores from September 2002 through March 2008 for about $1 US.
The games were manufactured in China.
Consumers should take the boards away from children and mail them to the Henry Gordy International at 809A Market Street, Hermann, MO 65041 for a refund.
