Toy penguins withdrawn for laceration danger

California-based Plan Toy Inc. is recalling about 3,000 toy penguin figures because the heads may unfasten, exposing sharp edges, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday.
The company has learned of one incident in which a penguin head detached though no related injuries were reported.
The recall applies to toys marked with the UPC code 084543521109 or EAN number 8854740052117 sold through U.S. toy stores and online retailers from May 2007 through February 2008 for between $15 US and $20 US.
The toys were made in Thailand.
Consumers should take the toys away from children and return them to the store for a refund.
