Friday, March 14, 2008 | 08:08 AM ET
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled about 5,000 X Force Commander toy airplanes and Super Famous toy cars and motorcycles because they contain excessive levels of lead, violating the U.S. lead paint standard.
No injuries have been reported.
The X Force is a set of six green, red, blue, silver, black and yellow plastic jet airplanes, with 5689 on the front of the packaging. The Super Famous set is a yellow or red plastic toy car and a grey motorcycle.
Toys were sold at Dollar Stores in the U.S. from September 2006 to November 2007.
Consumers can get information from the importer, S.U. Wholesale, at (877) 580-8883 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. PT Monday through Friday.
