Home Depot recalls patio furniture

Home Depot Canada is voluntarily recalling certain patio furniture with the name brand Mandalay Bay Patio Collection, and St. Kitts Patio Set.

The furniture may contain levels of lead in excess of the company's standard of 600 parts per million for lead in indoor-outdoor furniture.

Consumers are being urged to return affected patio furniture to their closest Home Depot Canada location for a refund.

The company says 170 of the units, supplied by Royal Alliance Inc. and made in China, were sold in Canada between Feb. 1 and March 2, 2008. No injuries have been reported.

The recall covers:

Mandalay Bay Collection — seven-piece set includes six chairs and table, SKU 503988, $599.
Mandalay Bay Collection Lounger, SKU 504096, $299.
Mandalay Bay Collection three-piece Bistro Set includes two chairs and table. SKU 504020, $199.
Mandalay Bay Collection Conversation Set includes sofa, two armchairs and oversized coffee table, SKU 504028, $599.
Mandalay Bay Bar Set four-piece set includes three barstools and bar table, SKU 504088, $349.
Mandalay Bay Deck Box, SKU 504115, $249.
Mandalay Bay Day Bed, SKU 504066, $449.
Mandalay Bay Dog House, SKU 504059, $129.
St. Kitts Patio seven-piece set includes six chairs, table with inset lazy Susan, SKU 503954, $499.
