KYMCO recalls ATVs for safety hazard

KYMCO is recalling about 1,350 ATVs because the bolts in the rear suspension may loosen and could cause the rider to lose control of the vehicle.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday the recall affects all model year 2006-2008 MXU 500 ATVs sold through KYMCO dealers from November 2006 through December 2007 for between $6,000 and $6,500 US.

The company has learned of six associated reports involving two minor injuries.

The ATVs were manufactured in Taiwan.

Consumers should stop using affected ATVs and contact their KYMCO dealer for a free repair.
