Girls hooded jackets recalled for strangulation danger
- January 31, 2008 3:39 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
About 14,000 hooded jackets sold in U.S. Marshalls stores are being recalled because they are threaded with a drawstring that could pose a strangulation danger, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The velour jackets were sold in red, blue and beige and spelled "DIVA" in rhinestones across the front. The style numbers for the affected jackets are 5033gk and 5033gg.
The jackets, which were manufactured in Korea, were sold from August through November 2007 for about $15 US.
Consumers should remove the drawstring from the hood or return the product to the retailer for a refund.
