Gap Outlet Recalls Boys’ Jackets

The Gap clothing store is recalling about 16,200 boys' jackets because they have waist drawstrings with a toggle that could snag on small spaces and pose an "entrapment hazard."

The jackets, called “Warmest Jacket," were sold at Gap Outlet stores in the United States from September 2007 through December 2007 for about $50.

The jackets are hooded with a zipper in front and have a drawstring at the waist. They were sold in navy and gray in multiple children’s sizes.

“Gap Outlet” is printed on a label at the neck. Style number 513573 is printed on a white label sewn behind the size and product care label near the neckline.

Consumers should stop wearing the jacket immediately and return it to any Gap Outlet store for a full refund. Consumers who return the jacket before April 30, 2008, will also receive a $5 appreciation card. Consumers choosing to keep the jacket should immediately remove the drawstring to eliminate the hazard.
