Christmas candle sets recalled for fire hazard
- January 8, 2008 2:51 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
Health Canada on Tuesday announced a recall involving about 306 Christmas candle sets because the exterior coating on the candles may ignite, creating a fire danger.
The candle sets, which included a snowman and Christmas tree, were distributed by Specialty Merchandise Corporation. Health Canada warns the snowman candle may also tip over.
The candles were sold in Canada from October 2003 to September 2007.
Consumers should contact the SMC for return information.
