Allergy alert issued for Max's Christmas cakes

Canada's food watchdog has issued an alert warning consumers Max's Christmas Cake contains soy and milk proteins not listed on its label.
The allergy alert affects almond iced cakes sold in 500g and 800g cakes with the UPC codes 0 63396 07214 3 and 0 63396 07224 2, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency said Thursday. The cakes were sold in British Columbia and Alberta.
Vancouver-based Max's Donuts is recalling the cakes from the marketplace.
No associated allergic reactions have been reported.
