Old Navy withdraws boys jackets for safety hazard

San Francisco-based Old Navy is recalling about 17,200 jackets for boys because a drawstring threaded at the waist may pose an entrapment danger, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Monday.

The recall affects "Performance Fleece-Lined" boys jackets marked with the style number 507907, sold in Old Navy stores in Canada and the U.S. and through its website from August 2007 through November 2007 for about $30 US.

No injuries or incidents related to the jackets, which were manufactured in Indonesia, have been reported.

Consumers should return the jacket to the company for a refund or remove the drawstring.
