The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling more children's products because they contain high levels of lead.
The recall applies to the following products:
- About 14,000 fishing games with the UPC #011546208270 and product #2574. The games were sold in the U.S. from October 2007 through November 2007 for about $10 US.
- About 60 Robbie Ducky water globes sold in Jo-Ann stores in the U.S. during November for about $5 US each.
- About 1,000 pieces of Codeena Princess jewelry with the item numbers KS1367SS and KS1369SCP, sold in U.S. stores from September 2005 through August 2007 for about $5 US.
- About 300,000 Baby Bead & Wire toys and Speed Racer Pull Back & Go Action! Cars sold in discount stores in the U.S. for about $1 US.
The products were all manufactured in China.
High amounts of lead can harm the nervous system, kidneys and other major organs. Anemia, a decline in red blood cells, can occur, as well as damage to the nervous system that may impair mental function. At worst, lead poisoning can cause seizures or death.
No adverse health conditions have been reported.
Consumers should take the affected products away from children and return them to the retailer for a refund.
