Illinois-based Gamenamics Inc. is recalling about 1,100 air-powered hockey tables because the wires can overheat and burn users, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday.
The recall affects Jet Fan Hockey tables with the numbers SG-504-6c and 73058 printed on the packaging. The tables were sold through the Hammacher Schlemmer and Sky Mall catalogues and websites for about $400 US each.
The company has received 11 reports of burnt or melted wires. No associated injuries have been reported.
The company is offering consumers who find wires in their tables to be burnt or melted a full refund. Other consumers should stop using the tables until they have fixed the tables using a free repair kit supplied by the company.
The hockey tables were manufactured in China.
