Ceramic heaters recalled for overheating hazard

- By Peter Hadzipetros
Collins International is recalling about 20,000 ceramic heaters because they may overheat, smoke or ignite, the CPSC said Thursday.
The company has learned of seven associated incidents, including four reports of minor property damage.
The recall affects the 1500-watt heaters with the model number EB38005 sold in Menards' stores in the U.S. from September 2006 through March 2007 for about $25 US.
Consumers should stop using the heaters, which were made in China, and return them to the store for a refund.
