L.L. Bean snow and sand castle kits pulled from store shelves

- By Peter Hadzipetros
About 800 Snow and Sand Castle Kits sold through L.L. Bean stores in the U.S. are being pulled because pieces may crack, exposing sharp edges, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday.
No injuries have been reported to the company.
The kits were sold through L.L. Bean stores, catalogues and the retailer's website from September 2007 through October 2007 for about $30 US each.
Consumers should return the kit to the store for a replacement.
