Chocolates recalled from marketplace

Canada's food watchdog is warning consumers with allergies to milk protein to avoid Charlemagne Chocolatiers Bio Organic Chocolates.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the products, which were distributed in Quebec and Ontario and possibly across the country, may contain milk that is not listed on its labels.

There has been one report of illness linked to the consumption of the chocolates.

The importer is recalling the Belgian-made products from the marketplace.

The recall applies to the following products:


  • Plain Bio Organic, 50 g, UPC 5 425001 204014.
  • Cinnamon Bio Organic, 50 g, UPC 5 425001 204052.
  • Coffee Bio Organic, 50 g, UPC 5 425001 204038.
  • Orange Bio Organic, 50 g, UPC 5 425001 204021.
