Charlemagne chocolate recall expanded
- October 15, 2007 2:32 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
Canada's food watchdog is expanding an earlier recall of Charlemagne Chocolatiers chocolate bars to include two more products.
The expanded recall now includes the Pepper Bio Organic bars and the Plain sugar-free 50g bars, said the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
The original recall was issued on Oct. 6 and warned consumers the products may contain milk that is not listed on the labels. It applied to the Plain Bio Organic, Cinnamon Bio Organic, Coffee Bio Organic and the Orange Bio Organic chocolates.
The bars were sold in Quebec and Ontario but may have been distributed across the country.
One associated illness has been reported.
Consumers with questions can call the CFIA at 1-800-442-2342.
