- August 10, 2007 3:56 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
Portable Labatt Blue Light and Coca-Cola coolers have been recalled by Sears Canada due to a potential fire hazard.
The 120V AC power supply on the Charlescraft coolers may overheat, leading to a risk of fire, injury or property damage. Two incidents of overheating have been reported.
The coolers were sold through the Sears department stores, catalogue and website between November 2005 and August 2007.
The three recalled models are branded with the Labatt Blue Light English, Labatt Blue Light French, and the Coca-Cola logos.
Consumers are advised to stop using the cooler's power supply immediately and contact Charlescraft at 1-800-414-5027 to arrange for the return of their affected product and to receive a free replacement power supply.
