Paramount Apparel bucket hats recalled for strangulation danger
- August 30, 2007 3:33 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
About 500 bucket hats for toddlers and youths are being withdrawn because drawstrings on them pose a strangulation danger, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday.
No injuries or incidents have been reported.
The recall applies to Toddler and Youth Nylon Bucket hats distributed by Paramount Apparel International Inc. sold in Bass Pro shops in the U.S. from February 2007 through June 2007 for about $8 US each.
Consumers should stop using the hats and contact Paramount Apparel for refunds.
