Scuba gear recalled from market
- June 1, 2007 8:36 AM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of a scuba regulator swivel, imported by Innovative Scuba Concepts Inc.
The swivels could separate while diving, cutting off the diver's air supply and presenting a drowning hazard, the CPSC said.
The company has learned of an incident in which a swivel separated. No injuries were reported.
The recall involves about 170 H0110 Swivels sold in specialty stores or through a dive shop technician from January 2006 through March 2007 for about $40 US.
Consumers should stop using the gear and contact the retailer for a refund.
