California-based Bond Manufacturing Co. is recalling about 68,000 folding recliner chairs for faulty support brackets and weak frames.
The U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission said Tuesday the Rockingham Deluxe Lounge Chairs can collapse unexpectedly, presenting fall and laceration hazards to users.
The chairs were also sold under the product name Vanderwall Folding Recliner Chairs.
The company has learned of 13 incidents in which the recalled chairs fell back or collapsed, including eight reports of injuries.
The chairs were sold at various U.S. stores from December 2006 through April 2007 for between $35 and $100.
Consumers should return the chairs to the store for a full refund.
