Recall expanded for Evasion dark chocolate bars
- June 11, 2007 1:17 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has updated an allergy alert issued May 24, saying Evasion chocolate bars were distributed more widely than previously thought.
The Evasion No Sugar Added Dark Belgian Chocolate Bars, which contain milk protein not listed on the labels, were originally thought to have been sold only in British Columbia, Alberta and Quebec.
But the CFIA now says they were also distributed in Ontario and New Brunswick.
The recall applies to 35-gram bars with the UPC code 7 73741 10185 4.
No illnesses have been reported.
Consumers may call the CFIA with any questions at 1-800-442-2342.
