Cribs withdrawn for fall hazard

About 180 Sleigh Round Cribs are being pulled from the market, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.

The cribs, imported by Oklahoma-based Song Lin Industrial Inc., were sold at children's furniture stores in the U.S. from January 2005 through March 2007 for about $600 US.

"The assembly instructions included with the crib direct consumers to assemble the crib with the mattress support in the highest position and do not indicate that the mattress support can be moved to a lower position," the CPSC said in its recall notice for the model 2005 crib. "This poses a fall hazard to children who are able to sit or stand up in the crib."

No injuries have been reported to the company.

Consumers should lower the mattress if their child can sit or stand up in the crib and contact the company for a revised assembly guide.
