About 1,500 Currey & Company table lamps are being recalled because they have been outfitted with faulty light sockets, putting users at risk of shock and fire hazards.
The recall applies to the company's table lamps with the model numbers 6037, 6038, 6039, 6040, 6043, 6044, 6045, 6046, 6047, 6048, 6632, 6633, 6685, 6913, and 6954.
The company has received one report from a consumer of a lamp tripping a circuit breaker. No injuries or damage were reported in the incident.
The lamps, which ranged in price from $240 US and $420 US, were sold in specialty stores and through interior designers from April 2006 through January 2007.
Consumers should stop using the lamp and contact the company for a repair.
