Canada's food watchdog is warning consumers with allergies to soy or wheat not to eat Harvest brand Naturally Smoked Summer Sausage.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a recall of the product, sold in a 375-gram package, because it contains soy and wheat, which is not declared on the label. The recall applies to products with a best-before date of June 26, 2007 and stamped with the UPC code 0 57393 70050 5.
The sausage, manufactured by Saskatchewan-based Harvest Meats, was sold in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.
No associated illnesses have been reported.
Consumers with questions can call the Canadian Food Inspection Agency at 1-800-442-2342.
