- By Peter Hadzipetros
Fisher-Price Inc. on Wednesday announced it was recalling its Rainforest Open Top Take-Along Swings, including 3,690 sold in Canada.
The recall applies to swings with the model number K7203, sold in Canada from November 2006 through May 2007 for about $110.
Swings sold in the U.S., branded with the model numbers K7203, K7192 and K7195, are also being withdrawn from the marketplace.
The company has learned of 55 incidents, including one in Canada, where infants became trapped between the swing frame and the seat. Infants suffered cuts, bumps, bruises and red marks, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
Consumers should stop using the swing and contact the company for a replacement.
