Sandwiches recalled from marketplace

Hygaard Fine Foods Ltd. on Thursday issued a national recall of its sandwich products which failed to list egg and soy proteins on its labels.
The recall involves the following products:
- Philly Steak Sub, 219 g, 0 65504 49497 7.
- Hoagie Family Pack, 720 g, 0 65504 49757 2.
- Lumberjack Sub, 312 g, 0 65504 49413 7.
- Mini Sub, 133 g, 0 65504 49430 4.
- Hoagie, 238 g, 0 65504 49424 3.
- Deli Roast Beef & Cheddar Sandwich, 215 g, 0 65504 49452 6.
- Deli Ham & Cheddar Sandwich, 215 g, 0 65504 49451 9.
- Spicy Donair, 155g, 0 65504 49467 0.
- Cheeseburger Family Pack, 480g, 0 65504 49758 9.
- Chunky Chicken Baked Sub, 348g, 0 65504 49476 2.
- Hoagie Sandwich, 238 g, 0 65504 49803 6.
- Mini Sub Sandwich, 133 g, 0 65504 49807 4.
- Hoagie, 238 g, 6 27976 10585 2.
- 12" Tiny Tim Sub, 387 g, 6 27976 10580 7.
People with soy or egg allergies should avoid eating these sandwiches. There have been no associated reported illnesses.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall. For more information, consumers can call the CFIA at 1-800-442-2342.
