Flat panel television bracket recalled from marketplace
- April 13, 2007 8:08 AM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
About 9,900 flat panel television tilt-mount bracket sets are being recalled because they pose a safety hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
If pressure is applied to the television, the brackets could disengage, causing the television to fall, the CPSC said.
The recall applies to the Verge brackets with the model numbers VPSW103M and VPSW103M2 sold at Circuit City stores in the U.S. from September 2006 through April 2007.
The VPSW103M brackets were priced at $180 US and the VPSW103M2 model at $140 US.
No incidents or injuries have been reported.
Consumers should contact the company for a free repair kit.
