Children's hooded sweatshirts recalled for strangulation hazard
- April 18, 2007 8:10 AM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
The U.S. Consumer Safety Product Commission on Tuesday announced a recall of 1,200 hooded sweatshirts because they pose a strangulation danger to children.
The recall applies to small, medium and large sweatshirts with the logo "Life is good" sold at RedEnvelope.com from March 2006 through March 2007 for about $35 US.
Children may become entangled by a drawstring threaded through the hood, the agency aid.
No associated injuries have been reported.
People should remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirts, the CPSC said.
